Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

It is the passive participle from { اَمْ يُرِيْدُوْنَ كَيْدًا فَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا … : ’’ الْمَكِيْدُوْنَ ‘‘ ’’كَادَ يَكِيْدُ كَيْدًا‘‘}, meaning those who have fallen into someone’s plot. That is, if they want to plot against you, then let it be known that those who are denying the truth, or conspiring against it, and are making various plots, they themselves are the ones who will fall into the plot. Thus, whatever conspiracy the disbelievers made against you ﷺ at the time of your migration or at any other occasion, it failed, and every plot of theirs turned back upon them. Those who persisted in disbelief were killed badly at Badr and other occasions. The fortunate souls accepted Islam, and the entire Arabian Peninsula came under the authority of Islam.
