سُوْرَةُ الطُّوْرِ
Surah At-Tur (52) — Ayah 23
يَتَنَـٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ ﴿23﴾

There they shall pass from hand to hand a (wine) cup, free from any Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk between them), and free from sin (because it will be lawful for them to drink).

(Ayah 23) ➊ For the explanation of {يَتَنَازَعُوْنَ فِيْهَا كَاْسًا: ’’ كَاْسًا ‘‘}, see the commentary of Surah As-Saffat (45). The people of Paradise will not snatch and grab wine cups from each other out of fear of shortage or running out, but rather, they will do so merely for amusement, because there is a unique pleasure in snatching and grabbing.
➋ { لَا لَغْوٌ فِيْهَا وَ لَا تَاْثِيْمٌ:} There are many flaws in the wine of this world, the greatest of which is that a person's intellect becomes veiled, whereas intellect is what distinguishes him from animals and grants him superiority over them. Then, in a state of intoxication, he starts uttering nonsense, commits sinful acts, and sometimes even dishonors his own close female relatives. The wine of Paradise will have none of the flaws of worldly wine, but it will possess, to the highest degree, all those qualities for which people drink it in this world despite its bitterness, foul smell, and harmful aftereffects.
