Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 49) ➊ { وَمِنْكُلِّشَيْءٍخَلَقْنَازَوْجَيْنِ:} After the creation of the heavens and the earth, the manner of creating all existing things is described: just as the earth is in comparison to the heavens, in the same way We have made every thing in pairs; for each, there is another thing in comparison. Thus, the heavens and the earth, day and night, land and sea, darkness and light, death and life, good and evil, Paradise and Hell—even the plants and animals are in pairs.
➋ { لَعَلَّكُمْتَذَكَّرُوْنَ:} So that you may take heed, understand monotheism, and know that whatever is created, there is another in comparison to it, but the Creator of all these is one Allah; He has no pair, no equal, no partner, and there is no being in comparison to Him. Also, understand that the One who created such a magnificent universe is also capable of creating you again, and you will be resurrected and presented before Him.
