Surah Adh-Dhaariyat (51) — Ayah 13
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ ﴿13﴾

(Ayah 13) {يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُوْنَ: ’’فَتَنَ يَفْتُنُ‘‘} (ن،ض) also means to test and to burn. When gold is melted in fire to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit, it is said: {’’فَتَنْتُ الذَّهَبَ۔‘‘} He said, that Day of Recompense will be the day when they will be heated and burned over the fire.
