Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 40,39) ➊ {فَاصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَا يَقُوْلُوْنَ وَ سَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ …:} For its exegesis, see the exegesis of Surah Ta-Ha (130).
{وَ اَدْبَارَ السُّجُوْدِ:} In Sahih Bukhari, Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: [ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُسَبِّحَ فِيْ أَدْبَارِ الصَّلَوَاتِ كُلِّهَا يَعْنِيْ قَوْلَهُ: «وَ اَدْبَارَ السُّجُوْدِ » ] [ بخاري، التفسیر، باب قولہ : « و سبح بحمد ربک…» : ۴۸۵۲ ] The meaning of {’’ وَ اَدْبَارَ السُّجُوْدِ ‘‘} is that Allah Almighty commanded you (O Prophet, peace be upon him) to recite tasbih after all prayers." Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever says thirty-three (33) times Subhan Allah, thirty-three (33) times Alhamdulillah, and thirty-three (33) times Allahu Akbar after every prayer, that makes ninety-nine (99), and to complete one hundred (100) says: [ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ], then his sins will be forgiven, even if they are as much as the foam of the sea."
