Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 20) {وَ نُفِخَ فِي الصُّوْرِ …:} After death, this is the second occasion when the reality will become clear to a person that whatever he used to do was all in the knowledge of Allah Almighty and was being preserved through the noble scribes (Kiraman Katibin). Here, the blowing of the trumpet refers to the second blowing, when every person will come out of the grave and present himself before Allah Almighty. "Wa'id" refers to the promise of threat and punishment, meaning the day when the warning given to you for disobedience will be fulfilled. For "Nafkh-e-Soor" (the blowing of the trumpet), see Surah Ibrahim (47–51), Ta-Ha (102), Hajj (1), Ya-Sin (51), and Surah Az-Zumar (68).
