سُوْرَةُ المَآئِدَةِ
Surah Al-Maaida (5) — Ayah 78
لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ ﴿78﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dâwûd (David) and ‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allâh and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds.

(Ayah 78) {لُعِنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ بَنِيْۤ اِسْرَآءِيْلَ ……:} This disbelief of the Israelites was in opposition to their respective prophets; thus, in the time of Dawud (David) (peace be upon him), they broke the law of "Sabbath," and in the time of Isa (Jesus) (peace be upon him), despite witnessing miracles, they denied his prophethood. The meaning of "curse" is distance from Allah's mercy and goodness.
