(Allâh) said: "Therefore it (this holy land) is forbidden to them for forty years; in distraction they will wander through the land. So be not sorrowful over the people who are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious and disobedient to Allâh)."

(Ayah 26){ قَالَفَاِنَّهَامُحَرَّمَةٌعَلَيْهِمْ …… :}{ ’’ يَتِيْهُوْنَ ‘‘}{ ’’تَاهَيَتِيْهُتَيْهًا‘‘} wandering aimlessly. {’’اَرْضٌتِيْهٌ‘‘} That land in which no path can be found. (Qamus) After this, these people wandered in the wilderness for forty years, and its name became "Desert of Tih." It was here that first Harun (Aaron), peace be upon him, passed away, and then Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, also died. Later, at some point, the Children of Israel entered the Holy Land. Shah Abdul Qadir, may Allah have mercy on him, writes that the story was told to the People of the Book; upon this, if you do not accompany the Prophet, peace be upon him, then this blessing will be granted to others. Ahead, the story of Habil and Qabil (Abel and Cain) is narrated regarding this, that do not be jealous, the one who is jealous is rejected. (Mowdih)
