Surah Muhammad (47) — Ayah 9

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ ﴿9﴾
That is because they hate that which Allâh has sent down (this Qur’ân and Islâmic laws, etc.); so He has made their deeds fruitless.
ذَٰلِكَ dhālika That
بِأَنَّهُمْ bi-annahum (is) because they
كَرِهُوا۟ karihū hate
مَآ what
أَنزَلَ anzala Allah has revealed
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah has revealed
فَأَحْبَطَ fa-aḥbaṭa so He has made worthless
أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ aʿmālahum their deeds

(Ayah 9) {ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوْا مَاۤ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ …:} That is, the reason for this outcome is that they disliked the guidance sent down by Allah, so Allah rendered their deeds void, because the condition for deeds to bear fruit is that they are in accordance with the guidance sent down by Allah.
