سُوْرَةُ الْجَاثِيَةِ
Surah Al-Jaathiya (45) — Ayah 20
هَـٰذَا بَصَـٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ ﴿20﴾

(Ayah 20) ➊ ’’ بَصِيْرَةٌ ‘‘ is the plural of ’’ بَصِيْرَةٌ ‘‘, meaning an understandable statement. The word {’’ لِلنَّاسِ ‘‘} is general, which includes both Muslims and disbelievers. That is, the statements of the Noble Qur’an are such that they are understandable to all people and inform them of their benefit and harm, whether they accept them or not.
➋ {وَ هُدًى وَّ رَحْمَةٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُّوْقِنُوْنَ:} means that although the statements of the Qur’an are such that they are understandable to all people, only those benefit from it who have faith in it, and for them alone it is guidance and mercy, as Allah Almighty has said: «وَ نُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَّ رَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ لَا يَزِيْدُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ اِلَّا خَسَارًا » [ بني إسرائیل : ۸۲ ] “And We send down gradually in the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.”
