سُوْرَةُ الزُّخْرُفِ
Surah Az-Zukhruf (43) — Ayah 69
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ ﴿69﴾

(You) who believed in Our Ayât (proofs, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were Muslims (i.e. who submit totally to Allâh’s Will, and believe in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism).

(Ayah 69){ اَلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا … :} In this, some qualities of those people are mentioned who will be free from fear and grief on the Day of Resurrection. From the words of the verse, it is apparent here that iman (faith) and Islam are separate. (See Hujurat: 14) However, when either iman or Islam is mentioned alone, both are the same. The meaning is that those people, along with believing in Our verses, were also completely obedient in practice.
