Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 53) ➊ {صِرَاطِاللّٰهِالَّذِيْلَهٗمَافِيالسَّمٰوٰتِوَمَافِيالْاَرْضِ:} That is, the straight path is the one by which a person reaches Allah, the Owner of the heavens and the earth, and it is known only through divine revelation. All other paths are the paths of Satan, which are deviated from Allah. See Surah An-Nahl (9).
➋ { اَلَاۤاِلَىاللّٰهِتَصِيْرُالْاُمُوْرُ:} That is, the management of all affairs of this world and the Hereafter returns only to Allah. Apparently, someone may be managing a matter, and people may consider it someone’s achievement, but in reality, the management of all affairs is the work of Allah alone. See Surah Yunus (3, 31), Ar-Ra’d (2), and As-Sajdah (5). “All affairs return to Allah” also includes that on the Day of Resurrection, all good and bad deeds of the servants will be presented before Allah, He alone will decide them, and He will reward the righteous and punish the wicked.
