سُوْرَةُ فُصِّلَتۡ

Surah Fussilat (41) — Ayah 8

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ ﴿8﴾
Truly, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh, and in His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم - Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them will be an endless reward that will never stop (i.e. Paradise).
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ āmanū believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟ waʿamilū and do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ l-ṣāliḥāti righteous deeds
لَهُمْ lahum for them
أَجْرٌ ajrun (is) a reward
غَيْرُ ghayru never ending
مَمْنُونٍۢ mamnūnin never ending

(Ayah 8){ اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ …:’’ مَمْنُوْنٍ ‘‘ ’’مَنَّ يَمُنُّ مَنًّا ‘‘} (n) {’’ الْحَبْلَ‘‘} to cut the rope. Along with the disbelievers, the outcome of those who have faith and do righteous deeds is mentioned, that for them there is such a reward that will never be cut off. The meaning is Paradise and its blessings, which will never end or decrease, rather they are everlasting and increasing every day, as He said: « لَا مَقْطُوْعَةٍ وَّ لَا مَمْنُوْعَةٍ » [ الواقعۃ : ۳۳ ] “(The fruits of Paradise) will never be exhausted nor will there be any restriction upon them.” And He said: « عَطَآءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوْذٍ» [ ھود: ۱۰۸ ] “A gift that will never be cut off.” And He said: « اِنَّ هٰذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهٗ مِنْ نَّفَادٍ » [ صٓ : ۵۴ ] “Indeed, this is Our provision, for which there is no depletion.”

Some commentators have considered this word to be from {’’مَنَّ يَمُنُّ مَنًّا‘‘} (to remind of a favor) and thus have meant that the blessings of Paradise will not be reminded as a favor upon them. But Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) said that this meaning is not correct, because Allah, the Exalted, does remind of favors and will remind, and this is His right, because He granted the guidance and ability for faith. He said: « بَلِ اللّٰهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ اَنْ هَدٰىكُمْ لِلْاِيْمَانِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ » [ الحجرات : ۱۷ ] “Say: Do not regard your Islam as a favor to me; rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to faith, if you should be truthful.” And the people of Paradise will say: « فَمَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْنَا وَ وَقٰىنَا عَذَابَ السَّمُوْمِ » [الطور : ۲۷ ] “Then Allah favored us and protected us from the punishment of the scorching wind.”
