Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 68) ➊ { هُوَالَّذِيْيُحْيٖوَيُمِيْتُ:} To prove Tawheed and the Hereafter, this series of verses filled with the mention of His blessings and powers is concluded on this verse: "He is the One Who gives life (to whom He wills) and causes death (to whom He wills)." Life and death are completely in His hands; no one else has any share in this.
➋ {فَاِذَاقَضٰۤىاَمْرًافَاِنَّمَايَقُوْلُلَهٗكُنْفَيَكُوْنُ:} That is, what difficulty can there be for Him in creating anything small or large for the first time or again, or in bringing someone back to life after death and establishing the Resurrection? When He intends any matter, He simply says { ’’ كُنْ ‘‘ } ("Be"), and it becomes. He is not dependent on means; rather, means come into existence by His command.
