Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 53) ➊ { وَ لَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْهُدٰى:} In this verse, the help is mentioned which was referred to in the previous verse {’’ اِنَّا لَنَنْصُرُ رُسُلَنَا ‘‘}. The conjunction with "waaw" refers to what has been mentioned earlier and what is implied here: "We helped Musa and the believers by drowning Pharaoh and his armies and saving them," and indeed We gave Musa guidance. This guidance includes prophethood, miracles, the Torah, and guidance in every difficulty.

{وَ اَوْرَثْنَا بَنِيْۤ اِسْرَآءِيْلَ الْكِتٰبَ:} Prophethood was granted to Musa (peace be upon him), and it is given only to a prophet; however, the heirs of his book and its knowledge are his Ummah, as Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: [ إِنَّ الْعُلَمَاءَ وَرَثَةُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَ إِنَّ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ لَمْ يُوَرِّثُوْا دِيْنَارًا وَلَا دِرْهَمًا وَرَّثُوا الْعِلْمَ فَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ أَخَذَ بِحَظٍّ وَافِرٍ ] [ أبوداوٗد، العلم، باب في فضل العلم : ۳۶۴۱ ] "The scholars are the heirs of the prophets, and the prophets did not leave behind dinar or dirham as inheritance; they only left knowledge as inheritance. So whoever acquires it has acquired a great share." Allah Almighty made the Children of Israel the heirs of the book, the Torah, which was given to Musa (peace be upon him); generation after generation, they continued to read, teach, and act upon it.
