Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 50) {قَالُوْۤا اَوَ لَمْ تَكُ تَاْتِيْكُمْ رُسُلُكُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ …:} The keepers of Hell will say to them, in order to make it clear that you are not worthy of being listened to or having intercession made for you, “Did not your messengers come to you with clear proofs?” They will say, “Yes, indeed!” Upon this, the angels will say to them, “Then when you did not respond to their call, no one will listen to your call either, so keep calling; the call of the disbelievers is utterly useless and in vain.” Shah Abdul Qadir writes: “The angels of Hell will say, intercession is not our job, we are appointed over punishment. Intercession is the job of the messengers, and you were opposed to the messengers.” (Muwaddih) Elsewhere it is mentioned that they will call upon Malik (i.e., the chief keeper of Hell) and say, pray to Allah that He may finish our matter, but he will say, you must remain here. (See Zukhruf: 77) And they will also request their Lord to be taken out of Hell, but even from there they will be rebuffed and told, do not speak to Me. See Surah Al-Mu’minun (107, 108).
