"Like the fate of the people of Nûh (Noah), and ‘Âd, and Thamûd and those who came after them. And Allâh wills no injustice for (His) slaves.

(Ayah 31) ➊ { مِثْلَدَاْبِقَوْمِنُوْحٍ …: ’’دَأَبَيَدْأَبُدَأْبًا‘‘} (F) To be continuously engaged in some work. {’’ دَاْبِ ‘‘} originally means habit, because there is permanence in it, then it also began to be used in the sense of someone's condition or matter. That is, I fear for you that your condition may not become like the people of Nuh, 'Ad, Thamud, and those who came after them, such as the people of Lut and the people of Shu'ayb, etc., who denied their prophets and tried to harm them, so Allah's punishment came upon them in such a way that it destroyed and ruined them terribly. ➋ The tanween of { وَمَااللّٰهُيُرِيْدُظُلْمًالِّلْعِبَادِ: ’’ ظُلْمًا ‘‘} is for indefiniteness, that is why it is translated as "any kind of injustice." That is, the punishment that came upon those nations was the result of their own evil deeds; Allah does not even intend any kind of injustice towards His servants, so why would He commit injustice, and that too upon His servants? This is not possible at all. Allah Almighty says: « اِنَّاللّٰهَلَايَظْلِمُالنَّاسَشَيْـًٔاوَّلٰكِنَّالنَّاسَاَنْفُسَهُمْيَظْلِمُوْنَ »[ یونس : ۴۴ ] "Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who wrong themselves."
