Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 28) {يُرِيْدُاللّٰهُاَنْيُّخَفِّفَعَنْكُمْ … :} That is, Allah Almighty is well aware of man's weakness, especially how weak he is regarding women, therefore, in the commands of Shariah, his ease has been taken into consideration and no hardship has been imposed in the religion. He said: { « وَمَاجَعَلَعَلَيْكُمْفِيالدِّيْنِمِنْحَرَجٍ }»[ الحج : ۷۸ ] "And He has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty."} The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the religion is easy." [ بخاری، الإیمان، باب الدین یسر : ۳۹، عن أبی ہریرۃ رضی اللہ عنہ ] And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have brought to you a very easy Hanifi Shariah." [ مسند أحمد، 266/5، ح : ۲۲۳۵۴۔ بخاری، الإیمان، باب الدین یسر، قبل ح : ۳۹ ]
Shah Abdul Qadir (may Allah have mercy on him) writes: "There is no hardship in the religion of Islam that one should abandon the lawful and pursue the unlawful." (Mawdhih)
