Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 27) {وَ اللّٰهُ يُرِيْدُ اَنْ يَّتُوْبَ عَلَيْكُمْ … : } That is, Allah Almighty wants you to adopt purity instead of immorality and wickedness, but the evildoers who follow their desires want Muslims also to become completely unrestrained like them and stray far from the truth. Therefore, do not listen to the words of the lustful. The reference is to Jews and Christians, Magians, and Communists, who even consider marriage with forbidden relations to be permissible, and some have even abolished the institution of marriage altogether and become like animals, to the extent that they have legally permitted the act of the people of Lot.
