Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 174) {يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ بُرْهَانٌ ……:} When Allah Almighty established proofs against all the misguided sects, disbelievers, hypocrites, Jews, and Christians, and completely refuted their doubts and suspicions, then in this verse, a general invitation is given to believe in the messengership of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), that a clear proof of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) being the true Prophet has come to you, and We have revealed the light that clarifies the truth, that is, the Noble Qur’an, which brings a person out of the darkness of misguidance into the light of guidance and becomes a cause for the light of faith to be created in the heart.
