Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 106){ وَ اسْتَغْفِرِ اللّٰهَ … :} That is, seek forgiveness for the support you have given. Another meaning that the commentators have given is that seek forgiveness from Allah for these sinners. From this, it is understood that sometimes a judge, due to the eloquence of one party, gives a verdict in their favor, but that will not be correct in the sight of Allah. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware! I am only a human being, and I give judgment according to what I hear. It is possible that a person is clever and skillful in presenting his argument and evidence, and I am influenced by his speech and give a verdict in his favor, even though he is not upon the truth, and in this way, I give him the right of another Muslim. He should remember that it is a piece of fire; now it is up to him whether he takes it or leaves it." [ بخاری، المظالم، باب إثم من خاصم… : ۲۴۵۸ ]
