Surah Az-Zumar (39) — Ayah 48

وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴿48﴾
And the evils of that which they earned will become apparent to them, and that which they used to mock at will encircle them.
وَبَدَا wabadā And will become apparent
لَهُمْ lahum to them
سَيِّـَٔاتُ sayyiātu (the) evils
مَا (of) what
كَسَبُوا۟ kasabū they earned
وَحَاقَ waḥāqa and will surround
بِهِم bihim them
مَّا what
كَانُوا۟ kānū they used to
بِهِۦ bihi [in it]
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ yastahziūna mock

(Ayah 48) {وَ بَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوْا … :} And the evils of their deeds, that is, the evil consequences of their actions, will become apparent to them, and the very punishment they used to mock will surround them from all sides. [ أَعَاذَنَا اللّٰہُ مِنْہُ ]
