Verily, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) the Book (this Qur’ân) for mankind in truth. So whosoever accepts the guidance, it is only for his ownself, and whosoever goes astray, he goes astray only for his (own) loss. And you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are not a Wakîl (trustee or disposer of affairs, or guardian) over them.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 41) {اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَ … :} The insistence of the disbelievers on their disbelief caused the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) great sorrow. Allah Almighty consoled him that We have revealed this Book to you with the truth. Now, whoever follows the right path, its benefit is for himself, and whoever goes astray, its burden is upon him. You are not responsible for this; your duty is only to convey the message of truth, which you have fulfilled. Leave the matter to Allah, in Whose hand is everything: causing death, giving life, causing sleep, and awakening.
