سُوْرَةُ الزُّمَرِ
Surah Az-Zumar (39) — Ayah 33
وَٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِٱلصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦٓ ۙ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ﴿33﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) who has brought the truth (this Qur’ân and Islâmic Monotheism) and (those who) believed therein (i.e. the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism), those are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

(Ayah 33) ➊ { وَ الَّذِيْ جَآءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَ صَدَّقَ بِهٖۤ : ’’ الَّذِيْ ‘‘ } refers to the group opposite to the first group, and just as in the first verse, { ’’مَنْ‘‘}, in this verse { ’’ الَّذِيْ ‘‘} is for generality. By this is meant the Prophet (peace be upon him) and every person who rises with his (peace be upon him) call, because these people are both bringers of the truth and acceptors of it. The condition of affirmation along with bringing the truth is set because sometimes a person states the truth, but due to his arrogance, he is not ready to accept it. Therefore, only the one who possesses both truthfulness and affirmation is worthy of praise, because his truthfulness is proof of his knowledge, and affirmation is proof of his humility and being free from arrogance. (Sa'di) Shah Abdul Qadir (may Allah have mercy on him) writes: "The one who brought the truth is the Prophet, and the one who accepted the truth is the believer." (Muwaddih) According to this exegesis, the referents of both are different, so some commentators have taken the bringer of the truth to mean the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him), because he (peace be upon him) was the first to bring the truth in this Ummah, and the one who affirmed it to mean Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), because he was the first to believe in him (peace be upon him). Although, apart from Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), all believers are also included among those who affirmed him (peace be upon him), and all callers are also included among the bringers of the truth who invited to Islam.
➋ {اُولٰٓىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُوْنَ :} That is, these are the people who avoid shirk and remain safe from Hell.
