Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 19){ اَفَمَنْحَقَّعَلَيْهِكَلِمَةُالْعَذَابِ …:} So, is the one upon whom the word of punishment has been established (due to following the devil, insisting on disbelief, stubbornness, and hostility), and whom Allah has decided to cast into the Fire (see Surah Sad: 85)—so, O Prophet! Will you save the one who is in the Fire? No! You will never be able to save him. Then, if you cannot save him, who else is there who can save him from the Fire? In this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is being comforted that indeed, your intense desire is that everyone should believe, but granting or withholding the ability to believe is not in your control, rather it is in the hand of Allah, as He said: « اِنَّكَلَاتَهْدِيْمَنْاَحْبَبْتَ »[ القصص : ۵۶ ] “Indeed, you do not guide whom you love.”
