Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 51,50) {جَنّٰتِ عَدْنٍ …:’’مَفْتُوْحَةٌ‘‘} opened, {’’ مُفَتَّحَةً ‘‘} (in the form of taf‘īl) due to emphasis, has been translated as "completely opened." It is mentioned in several Sahih hadiths that Paradise has eight gates. In Surah Az-Zumar (71), it is stated that the gates of Hell will be open upon the arrival of the disbelievers, and in verse (73), it is stated that the gates of Paradise will already be opened upon the arrival of the righteous. {’’ مُفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ الْاَبْوَابُ ‘‘} also includes the glad tidings that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: لَأَحَدُهُمْ أَهْدٰی بِمَنْزِلِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْهُ بِمَنْزِلِهِ كَانَ فِي الدُّنْيَا ] [ بخاري، الرقاق، باب القصاص یوم القیامۃ : ۶۵۳۵ ] "When the believers cross the Fire, they will be stopped on a bridge between Paradise and Hell, and they will settle the wrongs that occurred between them in the world, until when they are thoroughly purified, they will be permitted to enter Paradise. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Each of them will know his home in Paradise better than he knew his home in the world."
