And these only wait for a single Saihah [shout (i.e. the blowing of the Trumpet by the angel Isrâfil -)] there will be no pause or ending thereto [till everything will perish except Allâh (the only God full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour)].

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 15) {وَ مَا يَنْظُرُ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ اِلَّا صَيْحَةً …:’’ يَنْظُرُ ‘‘} here is in the meaning of {’’يَنْتَظِرُ‘‘}. By {’’ صَيْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً ‘‘} (a severe cry) is meant the sound produced by the second blowing of the trumpet, because for the first blowing, no one waits to remain alive or present. {’’ فَوَاقٍ ‘‘ مَا بَيْنَ الْحَلْبَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْوَقْتِ أَوْ مَا بَيْنَ فَتْحِ يَدِكَ وَ قَبْضِهَا عَلَي الضَّرْعِ‘‘} (Qamus) "The interval between two milkings or the interval between grasping and releasing the udder while milking." The intended meaning is a short interval. The meaning is that those who deny the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) are only waiting for a severe cry, which, once it begins, will have no interval until all people are resurrected and presented before Allah. It is said: « اِنْ كَانَتْ اِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ جَمِيْعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُوْنَ » [ یٰسٓ : ۵۳ ] "It will be but a single cry, then suddenly they will all be brought before Us." In this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is given reassurance.
