سُوْرَةُ صٓ
Surah Saad (38) — Ayah 14
إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ ﴿14﴾

Not one of them but belied the Messengers; therefore My Torment was justified,

(Ayah 14){ اِنْ كُلٌّ اِلَّا كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ:’’ عِقَابِ ‘‘} Originally, {’’عِقَابِيْ‘‘} is My punishment, My retribution. After mentioning the denial of all these nations in Surah Al-Ankabut, it is stated: « فَكُلًّا اَخَذْنَا بِذَنْۢبِهٖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَ مِنْهُمْ مَّنْ اَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَ مِنْهُمْ مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ الْاَرْضَ وَ مِنْهُمْ مَّنْ اَغْرَقْنَا وَ مَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَ لٰكِنْ كَانُوْۤا اَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُوْنَ» [ العنکبوت : ۴۰ ] "So We seized each one for his sin; then among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those whom the blast seized, and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allah was not to wrong them, but they themselves used to wrong themselves."
