Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 75) ➊ By "calling" is meant the supplication that Nuh (Noah), peace be upon him, made after inviting his people with patience and perseverance for nine hundred and fifty years, when Allah Almighty informed him that now, from your people, none will believe except those who have already believed. This supplication is mentioned in Surah Qamar (10) and Surah Nuh (26).
➋ Here, after this, the subject of praise {’’نَحْنُ‘‘} is omitted, meaning: Indeed, We are the best of those who accept supplications. For details of the acceptance of Nuh's (Noah's) supplication, see Surah Hud (36 to 48).
