Surah As-Saaffaat (37) — Ayah 64

إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿64﴾
Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire,
إِنَّهَا innahā Indeed, it
شَجَرَةٌۭ shajaratun (is) a tree
تَخْرُجُ takhruju that grows
فِىٓ in
أَصْلِ aṣli (the) bottom
ٱلْجَحِيمِ l-jaḥīmi (of) the Hellfire

(Ayah 64){ اِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِيْۤ اَصْلِ الْجَحِيْمِ :} That is, Zaqqum is such a tree that grows in the depths of Hell, and the heat of the fire does not harm it at all at all, just as when water covers plants, they die, but in the depths of the sea, countless trees and plants grow.
