Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 55) ➊ The original meaning of { فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَاٰهُ فِيْ سَوَآءِ الْجَحِيْمِ:’’ سَوَآءِ ‘‘} is "equal," here it means "middle," because the middle place is equal from all sides. Thus, when that believer looks with his friends, he will see the denier of the Resurrection in the midst of the blazing fire.

➋ From this, it is understood that in the Hereafter, the abilities to see and hear that will be granted to the people of Paradise will be far greater than those in this world. At present, we hear the voices and see people sitting thousands of miles away, but only through the medium of television. In the Hereafter, every person will be able to speak to and see another without any device, no matter how far apart they are.
