سُوْرَةُ الصَّافَّاتِ
Surah As-Saaffaat (37) — Ayah 48
وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌ ﴿48﴾

And beside them will be Qâsirât-at-Tarf [chaste females (wives), restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands)], with wide and beautiful eyes.

The plural of {وَ عِنْدَهُمْ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرْفِ عِيْنٌ : ’’ عِيْنٌ ‘‘ ’’عَيْنَاءُ‘‘} is used, meaning beautiful women with large eyes. The enjoyment of food, drink, and wine is completed by the company of wives, so their wives are mentioned, who will be adorned with every kind of outward and inward, physical and spiritual perfection. The spiritual perfection is that they will be so chaste that their eyes will not be raised towards anyone except their husbands, and their outward beauty will be such that they will be fair-skinned and extremely beautiful with large eyes, whose blackness will be very black and whiteness very white. In Surah Al-Waqi’ah it is said: « وَ حُوْرٌ عِيْنٌ» [ الواقعۃ : ۲۲ ] “And (for them there are) fair-skinned, black-eyed women, who are wide-eyed.”
