Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 2){ فَالزّٰجِرٰتِزَجْرًا :} "Fa" is evidence that they also refer to angels, whose mention is in the previous verse. {’’ زَجْرًا ‘‘} is for emphasis, meaning then by those angels! Whose rebuke is not ordinary but so powerful that the creatures created by Allah, no matter how immensely strong they may be, cannot withstand them, for example, the angels of death. (See An'am: 93) The angels appointed over winds and clouds, who drive and control them. (See Ra'd: 13) The angel appointed over mountains, who, upon the return of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from Ta'if, offered by Allah's command that if you wish, I will crush the disbelievers of your people between the two mountains. The angel who will blow the trumpet, whose single rebuke will cause all people to rise from their graves onto the surface of the earth, as He said: « فَاِنَّمَاهِيَزَجْرَةٌوَّاحِدَةٌ (13) فَاِذَاهُمْبِالسَّاهِرَةِ »[ النازعات : ۱۳، ۱۴] "So it will be but a single rebuke. Then suddenly they will be upon the surface of the earth."
