Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 175,174) {فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتّٰى حِيْنٍ …:} "A fixed time" may also mean that until We grant you permission for battle, leave them to their own state, continue to carry out the work of invitation and preaching verbally, and keep watching them; very soon they will see their own end. Remember, these verses are from the Makkan period. And by "a fixed time," the Day of Badr may also be meant, as well as the Conquest of Makkah. Thus, this is what happened: after migration, when jihad began, not much time had passed before the disbelievers saw their defeat and the Muslims' victory with their own eyes, and only fourteen or fifteen years had passed after the revelation of these verses when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who had left Makkah in secrecy, entered the same Makkah in broad daylight with ten thousand holy companions in a triumphant manner, and no one could stand against him. Then, just a few years later, the whole world saw with its own eyes that the Muslims not only dominated Arabia but also prevailed over Rome, Egypt, and Persia, etc.
