Surah As-Saaffaat (37) — Ayah 148
فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ ﴿148﴾

And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while.

(Ayah 148) ➊ { فَاٰمَنُوْا :} Shah Abdul Qadir writes: "The very nation from which he had fled was now believing in him. (They) were searching for him, and he had arrived there, (because of this) they were very pleased." (Mowdih)
➋ { فَمَتَّعْنٰهُمْ اِلٰى حِيْنٍ :} That is, instead of destroying them all at once with punishment, each was granted the opportunity to benefit until their appointed term.
