وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ ﴿137﴾
Verily, you pass by them in the morning
وَإِنَّكُمْ wa-innakum And indeed, you
لَتَمُرُّونَ latamurrūna surely pass
عَلَيْهِم ʿalayhim by them
مُّصْبِحِينَ muṣ'biḥīna (in the) morning

({وَ اِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّوْنَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُّصْبِحِيْنَ …:}) That is, when you travel for trade to and from Syria and Palestine, you pass by the ruined towns of the people of Lot day and night, morning and evening, so do you not use reason and do you not take a lesson from their fate?
