سُوْرَةُ يٰسٓ
Surah Yaseen (36) — Ayah 78
وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ ﴿78﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones after they are rotten and have become dust?"

(Ayah 78) {وَ ضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَّ نَسِيَ خَلْقَهٗ … :} That is, he considers Us to be helpless like the creation, that just as a human cannot bring the dead to life, We also cannot do so, and he forgets from what We created him. He says, after the body has decayed and only bones remain, and those too old, worn out, and hollow, then who will bring them to life again? If he remembered his own creation, he would never ask this question, because the One who can create a human from a lowly, dead drop, when he had no existence, how difficult is it for Him to bring his decayed bones back to life? Allah Almighty has reminded of creating man from a drop at several places; in Surah Dahr He said: « اِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ اَمْشَاجٍ» [ الدھر : ۲ ] "Indeed, We created man from a mixed drop." And in Surah Mursalat He said: « اَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُّمْ مِّنْ مَّآءٍ مَّهِيْنٍ» [ المرسلات : ۲۰ ] "Did We not create you from a humble water?"
