Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 73) ➊ { وَلَهُمْفِيْهَامَنَافِعُوَمَشَارِبُ:} Besides riding and meat, there are many other benefits for humans in these animals, such as making hundreds of things from their skins, fat, horns, hair, and intestines, etc. They are used for farming, their dung is used as fertilizer, and through their buying and selling, every need of life is fulfilled. Through animals, man is also provided with many things to drink, such as their milk and countless things made from milk. See also Surah An-Nahl (5 to 8) and Surah Az-Zukhruf (12 to 14). ➋ { اَفَلَايَشْكُرُوْنَ :} That is, all these kinds of favors were bestowed upon man by Allah Almighty, but instead of being grateful to Allah, he offered sacrifices of these very animals at the shrines of others besides Allah and in their names. Animals were set free in their names, even though they had no role in creating these animals or making them subservient to humans. What could be greater ingratitude and disloyalty than this!?
