Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 55){ اِنَّ اَصْحٰبَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ … :} After mentioning that everyone will be rewarded only for their own deeds, first the reward of the people of Paradise is mentioned: that on this day they will be happy in a great occupation. The meaning of {’’ شُغُلٍ ‘‘} is such an activity that prevents a person from other activities. In this, the tanween is for magnification, meaning that they will be so absorbed in enjoying their wives and other blessings of Paradise that they will not even think of anything else, because the blessings of Paradise will be beyond human imagination. See Surah As-Sajdah (17) {’’ الْيَوْمَ ‘‘} The word "(today)" indicates that the people of Paradise will soon enter Paradise.
