Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 4) {عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ:} That is, you are upon the religion of Tawheed, which directly leads to Allah, as He said: « وَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ قَصْدُ السَّبِيْلِ وَ مِنْهَا جَآىِٕرٌ » [ النحل : ۹ ] “And the straight path leads to Allah, and among them are some (paths) that are crooked.” The same thing is mentioned in these verses: « وَ اِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِيْۤ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ (52) صِرَاطِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَهٗ مَا فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَا فِي الْاَرْضِ اَلَاۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ تَصِيْرُ الْاُمُوْرُ » [ الشوریٰ : ۵۲، ۵۳ ] “And indeed, you surely guide to the straight path. The path of Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Behold! All matters return to Allah.”
