سُوْرَةُ يٰسٓ
Surah Yaseen (36) — Ayah 28
۞ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ ﴿28﴾

And We sent not against his people after him a host from the heaven, nor was it needful for Us to send (such a thing).

(Ayah 28){ وَ مَاۤ اَنْزَلْنَا عَلٰى قَوْمِهٖ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ مِنْ جُنْدٍ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ … :} To express the utter insignificance and worthlessness of this nation, it is stated that after him, We did not send down any army of angels from the sky to destroy his people, nor do We send an army of angels when We wish to completely annihilate a nation, because there is no need for it in this task. Rather, for this, even a single angel’s cry is sufficient. Yes, to help Our believing servants, We do send down thousands of angels who strengthen their hearts, and at that time, the punishment for the disbelievers is not given through the angels of the sky, but through the hands of the believers.
