Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 15) {قَالُوْا مَاۤ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا … :} The disbelievers of Makkah also said the same thing to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. See Surah Al-An'am (91). In fact, every nation said the same to their messenger: "You are a human being like us, so what is the special quality in you that Allah chose you alone for prophethood?" See Surah Ibrahim (10), Bani Isra'il (94), Al-Mu'minun (34), and At-Taghabun (6). Thus, the ignorant concept regarding prophethood has always been that a human being cannot be a messenger. In other words, this concept is also found among some ignorant people in such a way that whoever is a messenger cannot be a human being, whereas the Qur'an proves that all prophets are both human beings and messengers.
