Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 8){ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهٗ مِنْ سُلٰلَةٍ مِّنْ مَّآءٍ مَّهِيْنٍ :} For this, see Surah Al-Mu’minun (12 to 14) and Surah Al-Hajj (5), that is, then He continued his progeny through a drop of sperm and through procreation, from which countless humans continue to be born. The drop of sperm is called an extract because, according to physicians, it comes into existence as a result of the fourth stage of digestion of food, whereas blood is produced after the third stage of digestion, and because it comes out from the urinary organs, it is called {’’ مَهِيْنٍ ‘‘}. Then, in this drop of semen, there are millions of sperm cells that cannot be seen without a powerful microscope, and each sperm cell has the potential to become a complete human being in the womb.
