Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 9) ➊ { خٰلِدِيْنَفِيْهَا:} For its explanation, see Surah Al-Kahf (107, 108). ➋ { وَعْدَاللّٰهِحَقًّا :} To guarantee the promise of Paradise, Allah Almighty has mentioned His own name, so that this is not the promise of just anyone, but the promise of Allah Almighty, the Owner of the entire universe, Who is the Greatest. It is possible that with {’’ حَقًّا ‘‘} further assurance is given that this promise is such that it is absolutely true, and there can be no promise truer than this. ➌ {وَهُوَالْعَزِيْزُالْحَكِيْمُ :} In this, there is further assurance that the One making this promise is He Who is dominant over all; no power can prevent Him from fulfilling His promise, and He is Perfect in Wisdom. He has not made this promise blindly or without reason, but has made it according to wisdom.
