Surah Ar-Room (30) — Ayah 57

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ ﴿57﴾
So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail those who did wrong (by associating partners in worship with Allâh, and by denying the Day of Resurrection), nor will they be allowed (then) to return to seek Allâh’s Pleasure (by having Islâmic Faith with righteous deeds and by giving up polytheism, sins and crimes with repentance).
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ fayawma-idhin So that Day
لَّا not
يَنفَعُ yanfaʿu will profit
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
ظَلَمُوا۟ ẓalamū wronged
مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ maʿdhiratuhum their excuses
وَلَا walā and not
هُمْ hum they
يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ yus'taʿtabūna will be allowed to make amends

(Ayah 57) {فَيَوْمَىِٕذٍ لَّا يَنْفَعُ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ …:} That is, on that Day, their excuse that they did not get time will not benefit them at all, nor will they be given a chance to seek forgiveness or to please their Lord.
