سُوْرَةُ الرُّوْمِ
Surah Ar-Room (30) — Ayah 40
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَٰلِكُم مِّن شَىْءٍ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ﴿40﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Allâh is He Who created you, then provided food for you, then will cause you to die, then (again) He will give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Is there any of your (so-called) partners (of Allâh) that do anything of that? Glory be to Him! And Exalted be He above all that (evil) they associate (with Him).

(Ayah 40) ➊ { اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ … :} From here, the discourse once again turns towards Tawheed and the Hereafter in order to make the disbelievers and polytheists understand.
➋ { هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَآىِٕكُمْ مَّنْ يَّفْعَلُ مِنْ ذٰلِكُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ :} Is there any among your partners who can do any of these things? Obviously, they cannot, so what is the benefit of worshipping them, making vows at their shrines, and making offerings to them?
➋ { هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَآىِٕكُمْ مَّنْ يَّفْعَلُ مِنْ ذٰلِكُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ :} Is there any among your partners who can do any of these things? Obviously, they cannot, so what is the benefit of worshipping them, making vows at their shrines, and making offerings to them?
