And believe no one except the one who follows your religion. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Verily! Right guidance is the Guidance of Allâh" and do not believe that anyone can receive like that which you have received, otherwise they would engage you in argument before your Lord. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "All the bounty is in the Hand of Allâh; He grants to whom He wills. And Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower."

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 74,73) {وَ لَا تُؤْمِنُوْۤا اِلَّا لِمَنْ تَبِعَ دِيْنَكُمْ …:} This is also the speech of those groups that have been mentioned previously, and from this their religious prejudice and jealousy are apparent, as they keep instructing their followers: « وَ لَا تُؤْمِنُوْۤا اِلَّا لِمَنْ تَبِعَ دِيْنَكُمْ » Imam Tabari has explained its meaning as: do not believe anyone except those who share your views, do not accept that anyone else can be given prophethood like you, and do not acknowledge that Muslims can present any argument against you before Allah Almighty. In this case, «قُلْ اِنَّ الْهُدٰى هُدَى اللّٰهِ » will be a parenthetical sentence and its connection will be with « قُلْ اِنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللّٰهِ ». (Ibn Kathir, Ibn Jarir) Up to this point, their religious dishonesty and prejudice have been described; now, in the next verse, their financial dishonesty and enmity towards Muslims are mentioned.
