سُوْرَةُ اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ
Surah Aal-i-Imraan (3) — Ayah 54
وَمَكَرُوا۟ وَمَكَرَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ ٱلْمَـٰكِرِينَ ﴿54﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And they (disbelievers) plotted to kill ‘Îsâ [(Jesus) عليه السلام], and Allâh plotted too. And Allâh is the Best of those who plot.

(Ayah 54) {وَ مَكَرُوْا وَ مَكَرَ اللّٰهُ… :} Sheikh Shanqeeti said: "Here, neither the secret plotting of the Jews is mentioned nor the secret plotting of Allah, but elsewhere their plotting is mentioned, that they intended to kill him, as He said: «وَ قَوْلِهِمْ اِنَّا قَتَلْنَا الْمَسِيْحَ عِيْسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ» [النساء : ۱۵۷ ] 'And because of their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah."' And the secret plotting of Allah is mentioned: «وَ لٰكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ» [النساء : ۱۵۷ ] 'But it was made to appear so to them.' They crucified the likeness of Isa (Jesus), and thought that they had killed the Messiah." For further details, see Surah An-Nisa (157).
