She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me." He said: "So (it will be) for Allâh creates what He wills. When He has decreed something, He says to it only: "Be!" - and it is.

(Ayah 47) {اَنّٰىيَكُوْنُلِيْوَلَدٌوَّلَمْيَمْسَسْنِيْبَشَرٌ:} When Maryam (peace be upon her) was given the glad tidings of a boy, she expressed amazement—not at its impossibility, but at how it would happen, since the apparent means were not present. She said, no man has ever touched me, so how will I have a child!? It was said: "Allah creates whatever He wills in this way." In the story of Zakariya (peace be upon him) { ’’ يَفْعَلُ ‘‘} and here {’’ يَخْلُقُ ‘‘} was said. The first word is general, because there both husband and wife were present, though they were old. { ’’ يَخْلُقُ ‘‘ } is specific, because without a man, the means are not complete at all.
