يَـٰمَرْيَمُ ٱقْنُتِى لِرَبِّكِ وَٱسْجُدِى وَٱرْكَعِى مَعَ ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ ﴿43﴾
O Mary! "Submit yourself with obedience to your Lord (Allâh, by worshipping none but Him Alone) and prostrate yourself, and Irkâ‘i (bow down) along with Ar-Râki‘ûn (those who bow down)."
يَـٰمَرْيَمُ yāmaryamu O Maryam
ٱقْنُتِى uq'nutī Be obedient
لِرَبِّكِ lirabbiki to your Lord
وَٱسْجُدِى wa-us'judī and prostrate
وَٱرْكَعِى wa-ir'kaʿī and bow down
مَعَ maʿa with
ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ l-rākiʿīna those who bow down

(Ayah 43){ وَ ارْكَعِيْ مَعَ الرّٰكِعِيْنَ : } Since Maryam (peace be upon her) used to stay in the sanctuary (mihrab) of Bayt al-Maqdis and was a servant of Bayt al-Maqdis, she was commanded to perform prayer in congregation.
